Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow.
So gas went up to a cool $3.28 today. By next week we can expect it to be near $4.00
JUST IN TIME FOR US TO DRIVE ACROSS THE FUCKING COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!
TWICE!
Grrr.
At first I was going to ease my rage by hitting kittens with a baseball bat. After some thought I decided that wouldn't really help anything.
So it was decided that I have one of two choices
A) Soak kittens in gasoline (while it's still "cheap") and also fill them with it. Then put them in the trunk of the car, and when we need to fill up it's a simple squeeze...drip....meow...
B) Attatch multiple kitti to the car with reigns and simply 'whiplash' Heya!...meow...

i didnt even think of that. i was doing the countdown to $3.00 in my head since spring...so um. it went up about $1 in 2 days. is it time to panic yet? looting, anyone?
i bet i'm not the only one flipping off hummers now.
derek, although i'd be cussing like a sailor if i were about to drive 12,000 miles, i'm sure your grandkids will thank you. have a little foresight!
here's some math to brighten your day
i'll give you a moment to grab a tissue...
12,000miles @ ~15mpg = 800gallons
800gallons@$3.50/gal=holy crap. i cant bring myself to tell you the price.
dude, do you guys have enough money?
ok, if you guys both fly back (i think you said that):
6000/~15= 400
400*3.5=1400
dude
thats usd.
pass the kleenex.
i'm not sure what your math is figuring, but we're not exactly traveling 12,000 miles. the first trip from buffalo to long beach will be 3,000 miles (for sake of ease, in reality it's a little less). then we fly back to buffalo after that, and drive out again. so all-in-all figure we'll drive 6,000. you were figuring 12,000 in that first one...that'd be if we drove back both times. but we're flying after the first trip...and NOT comming back after the second ;)
as far as mileage goes, brenna's car gets roughly 25-30 mpg. the moving truck will get 6-10 mpg.
so overall it's still gonna be a kick to the nuts, but i don't think it's going to be as bad as you anticipated!
