I'm kind of a big deal.

Alright, the following isn't interesting. I don't reccomend you read it unless you are super super bored or something because it's 3:40 am, I just got back from a party, and I'm in no mood to make witty comments to spice up the otherwise mundane aspects of my life.
The following is basically for myself. Because 30 years from now I'm going to be bored and retired and reading this, wondering what the hell I was actually doing "back in the day."

I had a 3-day weekend. I don't remember what I did during it. It was a while ago. I'm sure whatever I did, it was sweet. And possibly involved a cape.

Tuesday the 5th
-------------
It is Emily's Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY! (if you read this...) Aside from that, I don't remember anything particularly interesting.

Wednesday the 6th
--------------------
Brenna visited me at Moviola to pick up some stuff, and drop off some other stuff. It was great to see her, and a lot more emotional than I would have guessed it would be.
There was lots of small talk, and then a nice quiet period of starring at each other. Then some waterworks.
I'm glad though. I'd like to think I'll love her for the rest of my life. That'd be much better than the alternative.
I look forward to the day we can get back to talking and acting like the friends we always were.

Trivia night also took place. We came in 4th :(

Thursday the 7th
------------------
After work I went to the pet store with Don to help him buy fish, and to purchase supplies for Chester: the greatest chinchilla in the world.
I couldn't find chinchilla supplies on my own though, I needed an employee to point at the extremely obvious "CHINCHILLA CORNER" sign for me.
I then purchased an XLP Domino's Pizza at my parents recommendation (the sauce/cheese/crust ratio on the XLP is far superior to the rest of their pizza's) then proceeded to hide in my bunker (a.k.a. room) and watch Ultraviolet.
It's times like this that I feel like "Kevin," in "Home Alone."
"A whooooole cheese pizza. All to myself!"

Friday the 8th
---------------
I stole blueprints and reels from Moviola to hang on my apartment walls.

Went to the Red Lion with the boys, but unfortunetly spent the whole time inside instead on the awesome outdoor patio thingy.
Afterwards went to Chris'/Steve's and laid on their floor listening to people talk. Sometimes I just don't have anything to contribute to the conversation.
Make that most of the time.

Saturday the 9th
------------------
At the end of work on Friday, Don got a call from an old friend asking for help/equipment to shoot a music video. Then Don turned to me.

So we shot a music video. You can check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr-rTKlc8to

It's fun doing shoots like that because Don and I have control over most aspects, as well as get free food and beer.
Drinking and shooting video on a gorgeous day is the best (originally it was really overcast out and we were kind of nervous, but it ended up being beautiful out).
Met a lot of cool people, hopefully I'll hang out with some of them again. They were totally "scenesters" but hey, sometimes you need to mix shit up.
The main girl in the video was awesome, I'm hoping to use her in a personal project in the future...I just need to figure out a way to get ahold of her...

Afterwards we went to a bar (the "Tin Horn" I think...) that had authentic western-style swinging doors and a free jukebox!
Too bad the service was absolutely miserable...

Sunday the 10th
-----------------
Watched a LOT of "24"

Monday the 11th
------------------
Watched "Prison Break" over at Don's, ate pizza hut and drank "Prestige" rum and coke. Then Matt and Steve came over and we watched "Fantastic 4."
Wow. what a miserable movie.

Ross, one of Don's college friends, moved into town. Make that one more of many Emerson kids that I now hang out with.
I think I've become an honorary Emerson-ite by now.

Tuesday the 12th
------------------
As I would say, and Kai would quote me saying: "Cleanin' ma' room!"

My Xbox360 officially started shiting the bed today too. It randomly freezes when I try to play games or dvds. The first sign of a 360's slow and painful death :(

Wednesday the 13th
---------------------
Trivia night!!! (at Fox and Hound) We placed 2nd!!! WOOO.

Thursday the 14th
-------------------
Poker night at my place. Had a good turn-out of 8 people. It was good to hand out with Matt A. outside of Moviola's prep room. And Dave's friend and cousin were awesome. His friend was eerily similar to me, including blueprints on his walls and a "Mens Room" sign on his bathroom door.
His cousin is also fuckin rad. He reminds me of Sha's old roomie Trevor, very laid back. Except from the East Coast, so not THAT laid back. And no surfing.

Friday the 15th
----------------
Fucking reunion day at Moviola! Pretty much every consistent client we've ever had stopped it at some point today. Which is actually pretty awesome, because we only let the nice ones come back consistently :)
It's to a point now that these 30 to 40 year-old guys come in and give me hand shakes/slaps followed with hugs and it's like we're old buddies.
It's shit like that that makes me more than happy to give them nicer lenses for the same price.
NOW THAT's true friendship.

Went home and spent my WHOLE night reading three issues of EGM (they were all forwarded to my new address at the same time). It might sound boring, but I needed a break from everything. It was nice.
And informative.

Saturday the TODAY
----------------------
Biked my ass to UPS at 9:30 am to send my Xbox 360 to the M$ repair center. They sent me a free box to mail it in (although, they sent it to my home address instead of the work address I INSISTED on, so it didn't get mailed as soon as it could have...JERKS).
Then I did laundry, burned some dvd's, watched some "24," and made scrambled eggs and toast.

That's fucking productivity people.

Don came over and we played some Guitar Hero (during Poker Night all the losers retreated to the living room to play Guitar Hero, now everyone is hooked on it...kinda the same way I got them hooked on Katamari Damacy). And by "play" I mean "kicked his ass royally."
I look forward to when him and Matt get good at it, it'll be sweet to play with other people that know what they're doing.

Went to Tiffany's house for a party. Hence I'm awake at 4:11 am posting this fucking thing.
It was cool, when we got there I actually knew a decent amount of the people. Ya' know, about 15 or 20 of them.
By the end of the night I had talked to at least another 5-10.
I'm OFFICIALLY an honorary Emerson-ite!

I like going to parties and knowing absolutely no one :) I like it even more when the very few girls there go out of their way to introduce themselves to me.
I mean, yeah I knew a handful of people there, but I don't know them REALLY well. It's not like a high school or college party where I'm completely comfortable around everyone and feel right at home. It's still people I've just recently met, so talking to them still has that "new" feeling to it.
So I feel like I'm just some dude that's there that no one knows (since they all know each other from Emerson) and therefore have the advantage of either A) Being social and being someone new for them to talk too, or B) Being the quiet guy smoking a clove in the shadows on the porch.
Usually I play both roles.
The worst part is when I'm not smoking or drinking and not conversing with anyone. Then I just feel like some lonely weird guy floating around the party trying to figure out what the fuck to do next.
That's when I try to organize an open conversation circle with a good ratio.

Conversation Circle -
When you and people you are conversing with stand in a circle/ring formation, therefore blocking anyone else from joining the conversation.

Open Conversation Circle-
A conversation circle except that it isn't a closed off ring, so outsiders can join in the empty space of the circle.

Good Ratio-
1:1 would be one girl to each guy. This or higher is ideal.

Ideal is not typical though. Typical is semi-sausage circle.

Sausage Circle-
A conversation circle consisting of only males.

Semi-Sausage Circle-
A conversation circle with a ratio of about 1:4 (girl to guy) or lower.

Alright, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow I'm putting up the 48-Hour-BBQ post. Get psyched!!!
